Send a direct message

Direct messages are private conversations with one or more people, outside of rooms.

1. Click + or 📝 in the left panel and select Start new chat.
2. Type the person’s name or email address and select them from the list.
3. Click Go to open the conversation.
4. Type your message at the bottom and press Enter to send.
